What’s an adventure elopement, anyway?
We’re so glad you asked! The term “adventure elopement” can really mean anything you want it to mean, but we hope that it involves us telling the story of your most ideal elopement day.
Many of our couples start planning with a destination or even just a general area in mind, but some come to us with a blank slate. We are here to help guide you to the perfect location and timeline for the two of you. You can be as adventurous as you’d like; lots of elopement days may involve getting ready together in a tent, heading out to hike a couple miles to an incredible view, a picnic in a national park, vows at sunset, and a hike back down.
However, other elopement days look like photos with family, driving through the Tetons, making pit stops for bison traffic jams, and shots with the Milky Way to wrap up the evening. There are unlimited possibilities, and we’re here to help you figure out the best fit for your day.
You can choose to be as remote as you want! Whether you are into glamping, camping, van life, or a posh hotel, we’ll meet you anywhere and get as far off the beaten path as you want to be while you say your vows.
The Booking Process
Now that you know an elopement is for you, we’ll get the ball rolling.
Reach out to us via the contact form, and we’ll set up a time to chat. We want to hear the whole damn thing: the big picture, the half-baked thoughts, who’s coming, what’s non-negotiable, and what you absolutely don’t want. We’ll offer recommendations for locations, timing, and all the big-picture logistics involved in making your elopement an absolute dream come true.
Next, we’ll put a custom proposal together for you. You’ll be able to review and sign everything digitally, make a payment, and access all planning documents from your client portal.
Once you’re officially booked (yay!), we’ll send over a helpful planning guide and questionnaire so that we can craft a custom-tailored day that aligns with your values and vibe. We’ll stay in communication throughout the planning process, ensuring that you both feel seen and heard, and work together to plan a timeline that results in creating an elopement experience you can be nostalgic for later, and the epic, authentic, one of a kind photos to bring you back.
On the actual wedding day, we’re there for you. We’ll be blasting your playlist, carrying your stuff, keeping you hydrated, and signing as your witnesses as needed. We’ll be cheering you on the entire time.
From there, you’ll get a sneak peek a few days after your elopement and the full gallery within eight weeks. The photographs will do more than prove you were there. They’ll bring you back to the feeling of being there.
Leave No Trace
One thing to note about us is our commitment to Leave No Trace ethics. If you aren’t already familiar, Leave No Trace is an organization protecting the outdoors through science-based education that inspires responsible recreation. It’s our responsibility to care for all the beautiful spots where we photograph our couples, but also, it’s important to us that each of our couples are aware of how they can reduce impact on these areas as well.
Being in alignment on how we protect the environment is imperative to us, and we take these 7 Leave No Trace principles very seriously:
Plan ahead and prepare.
Know before you go. Check weather, regulations, and trail conditions so you’re ready for anything.Travel and camp on durable surfaces.
Stick to trails and durable ground so plants and soil can recover.Dispose of waste properly.
Pack it in, pack it out. That includes food scraps and pet waste.Leave what you find.
Take photos, not souvenirs. Leave rocks, plants, and artifacts where they are.Minimize campfire impact.
Use a stove when you can, and keep fires small, contained, and legal.Respect wildlife.
Watch from a distance and never feed wild animals.Be considerate of others.
Keep noise down, yield to others on the trail, and leave room for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.
Together, we can help leave these areas better than we found them,
and keep them beautiful for generations to come!
Y’all means all!
We are 100% LGBTQIA+ supporting, welcoming, and affirming. Any vendor we recommend will be the same. Who you are and love should always be celebrated and validated.
Y’all absolutely means all to us, through and through.
