The Story (so far)
We should’ve met so many years before we actually did.
While we ran in the same circles, listened to the same music, went to the same shows, and even worked at the same mall in college, we never actually met until 2018. Our kids happened to be in the same class at a small nature school and became best buds. In a strange twist of fate involving a downed power line, we realized we also lived in the same neighborhood. We hung out one day after dropping the kids off, spent the entire day together trauma dumping and figuring out the laundry list of things we had in common, and the rest is history! We became best buds, too.
Both of us being wedding photographers for a decade, it was a no-brainer to start working together, second shooting and assisting each other on weddings and portrait sessions. When Lauren moved across the country to Las Vegas and began shooting more elopements than large weddings, Ashleigh regularly flew out to assist. We quickly realized that shooting elopements and intimate weddings was what we really, really loved - especially when our rad clients trusted us to help plan a day that was truly a reflection of them.
The idea of Everywhere Elopements came to us while listening to Fleetwood Mac on a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and was solidified when Lauren and her family moved back to Atlanta. Now, we get to work together, hang out, and we’re so stoked to be starting this adventure.

Meet
Lauren
Most likely to spot cool birds and
tell you all about them.
I’m Lauren (she/her)! I’m an adventure-loving coffee snob, and I work with folks on their Best Days Ever. If my career were a person, it would be a legal adult, which kinda blows my mind. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot weddings and elopements all across the US, from Yosemite National Park to Brooklyn and everywhere in between! Good views & good company are two of my faves.
When I’m not working with badass couples, you can find me camping and hiking with my family. We’re huge baseball fans (Go Braves!), and we’ve been known to drive through the night for a good hike or a great concert. We’re avid travelers, and are never not planning our next big trip. We’re also a crazy cat family - we have two cats, Freddie & Louise, and our daughter refers to them as her siblings. 🥹
I’m also newly into making pottery, and I am in the process of building out a home studio. It scratches the creative itch that is constantly in the back of my mind and challenges me in new and different ways every day. I read a lot of murdery books, know a ton of useless trivia, and I often find myself down a rabbit hole of locating the best coffee shops in whichever town. I’ve visited 27 national parks in the US, and hope to visit them all! So far, Yosemite is my favorite - I lovingly refer to it as the center of the universe. As an elder emo (the late 90s / early 00s variety - MCR is NOT my emo), I have a playlist for every occasion and I’ll happily make you one if you ask!
Meet Ashleigh
Most likely to hide in a bush during your session.
I’m Ashleigh (she/her), and you will absolutely hear about my cats Sylvie, Hook, and Bo because they’re just the best. I’ve been photographing weddings from intimate elopements to giant black-tie ballroom affairs for sixteen years, and it’s the only career I’ve ever had. (Aside from the few years where starting and running a nature-based elementary/middle school happened and I did both.) I went to school for sociology and literature, and that background informs how I take a quieter, more observational approach to photography and telling the stories therein.
My hobbies are of the grandma variety – cross stitch and reading, though I do game a lot as well. My favorite books and games are fantasy, and I will also gladly talk forever about both. The coolest show I’ve ever been to was Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional in a cave in Tennessee. Seriously the most incredible experience. Highly recommend shows in caves. (Lauren was at the same show the next night and can verify how awesome it was.)
I’m shamelessly dorky and will crack myself up with bad puns (much to my husband and tween son’s chagrin). My biggest bucket list locations to see (and work!) are the Nordic fjords, Scottish Highlands, and Patagonia. I’m forever dreaming of going back to the Pacific Northwest, and Alaska and Hawaii are the last two states I have left to visit before I’ve officially been to all fifty.
